Back in Canada, I probably could've done the same-- I had mountains of clothes and footwear to choose from.
These days, I am finding it harder and harder to formulate an outfit for Skeleton Closet... quite frankly, it's bare bones in my current closet (badum-tss!). My shoe rack is especially sparse... I think I've worn all the shoes I have more than twice already in my current posts.
Without becoming redundant, and also because it's different-- I went barefoot this time.
I know... blasphemy.
I also noticed two exciting things:
1. I am currently 5 readers away from 100
2. July 22 marks an entire year of blogging
so you know what this means...
Whichever one I get to first, it means a giveaway! And boy this one will be a good one, I promise.
This time it'll be more goodies over candy-- my first was mostly candy because it was for Hallowe'en, and you can't do a giveaway on Hallowe'en without candy... it just doesn't work like that, in my book.
Let's just say I have a few favorites I would like to share with the winner...
What I am Wearing:
- Skirt: Self-made
- Top: Thrifted
- Corset: Louise Black
- Necklace: Self-made
- Barefeet!
It's beautiful !
ReplyDeleteYour corset reminds me some belts from Restyle =)
Thank you!
DeleteIt's actually the other way around, heh-- the belts were inspired by Louise Black. These ribcage cameos became super popular after she made the debute on her Etsy shop.
I love them so much! But it took me a while to save up for just this one! Eeep-- the belt is a great alternative!
Pretty! I love how much details you've got in your outfit; all those straps and frills and lace, so lovely! ^^
ReplyDeleteThank you-- I was feeling rather frilly and lacy that day, heh.
DeleteVery pretty outfit! That corset is really high up on my wishlist.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm barefoot on most of my outfits, haha. I hate wearing socks and I don't own so many different shoes either so. :'D
A giveaway is always fun, I am really excited to see what you have in mind!
Oh yes, this corset was on my list for a very long time... and it took just as long to save up for it >.<
DeleteSad thing is, she recently increased the price of them-- so I think I just have to buy the belt from restyle and use it on top of other corsets, because as much as I want to... I don't think I can afford another original =(
I do like being barefoot half the time, but I love a good shoe or boot! I hope one day I can bring all my junk from up North.
Oh I love your corset! Actually about a year ago I almost ordered one corset too, but corsets without planset (is it English?) are just not for me - I've got too broad back :<
ReplyDeleteHeh, seriously, if I had known at the time it would be really difficult to get out of this I might've reconsidered... but urgh, I love it so much... it's almost worth the struggle of taking it off!
DeleteI love many things about your post today; your outfit, the promise of a great giveaway, and the new look of your blog :)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI really hope the items I have in store really hold up to my words-- I feel that they do, though!
The new look is roughly how my blog first looked in the very beginning-- the banner is actually the first one I made lol
I thought a flashback theme was fitting... for some reason lol
Nice job on the skirt, Madame MM!
ReplyDeleteLike Ms. Misantropia, I like the new background, too! I wish I could find a real wallpaper like that! :D
Thank you! It's one I made and featured much earlier in my blog. Might've actually been one of the first few posts of creepy crafty crusades!
DeleteI don't remember where I found this background, but it was actually the first one I used on this blog, and have always used really... I just change the color lol. I wish I had it as wallpaper, too!
I love the skirt! I often go barefoot in my pictures because I am trying things on the night before and take the pictures then.
ReplyDeleteOooh giveaway! Exciting! I am not really supposed to have too much candy, but other things are good! :)
Thank you =D
DeleteI'd never be able to tell, your outfits look so well thought out!
Nothing wrong with being barefoot. It's comfy. I run a lot, so I like to be able to give my feet their freedom sometimes.
ReplyDelete(And the outfit is cute too.)
Indeed, there is nothing wrong with being barefoot, but I love seeing/reading complete outfits-- I guess I expect the same to come from my own blog heh.
DeleteGreat outfit! The corset is gorgeous and that lip colour looks fabulous on you!
